… this one for me, is not working on my PC screen. Printed on paper it makes a great image… but here…
…I don’t know…. let me know what You think.. and what you see…

For me a bit too dark…. on paper this might work but on my screen there could be some more highlights!
Thanks Marko, try this one, slightly lighter:
Das hellere Bild gefällt mir besser, es hat eine größere Spannung im Kontrast. Farbe braucht es – wie so oft – nicht!
Wird es etwa schon Herbst?
danke für Dein Kommentar, ja 2. ist besser auch für mich wobei es auf Papier besser wirkt…
ja ja hier ist (leider) den Herbst gekommen aber dass gibt auch schöne Kontraste auch ohne Farben!
I agree the lightened version looks better on screen but I also like the subtle greys of the darker version. Wonder if selectively brightening the two lower left leaves and the small leaves in the center might work. Either way, a nice monochrome still life.
… it seems I have to come up with a third version to improve…
thanks for your view
there we go… a third version:
fine tuning, it starts to look better even on my screen now.
THANKS TO EVERYBODY FOR THE COMMENTS!
OK, ok, I will improve Nil!
It was not an attack, Vince 😉
It is your photo and it’s up to you how you want it to be… 🙂
No Nil, I did not see this as an attack! In general I like to hear critical voices, here I took the chance to experiment a bit with the image. At the end of the day it strongly depends on the monitor and the settings how it is perceived.
Perfect, but then I have my screen brightness turned up high.
A very moody and slightly sinister rendering. Love it Vincent.
…..and i much prefer your first version.
not everybody seem to have the same opinion but I would take your in account….
