  2. I find the 2nd better too and I think it is because it is less posing 🙂

    The light bounces more evenly off the girl in the first one, or rather it wasn’t as bright, making the transition from fore- to background seem smoother. What the kid does with the hoop adds dynamic to the second one, though, making them look more interesting as subject. I prefer the light in the first one, but the second one has a little more punch because of the subject.

    The second. Was this taken first? The girl looks fine in both, its what the boy is doing. In the top one he’s less confident (hiding behind her) but conversely more daring (with the devil’s horns), whereas in the lower one it feels immediate. Actually, its the hoop. I didn’t notice it in the top one until I saw it in the lower one.
