quite strange, is't it?

Last 2 weekends I have been visiting the unique junkyard in Kaufdorf (Switzerland).

The junkyard is open till Sunday Oct. 12th, for information and coordinates in German click here. These are the last days till closure which, probably will be a final closure.

I am productive these days. Yesterday I was in a junkyard in Switzerland where cars where "collected" since 1933. The result can be seen in a new slide show.

Finally I found some time to process some photographic material and produce a new slide show. No people this time but an abandoned factory in France.

Today it was a rainy day in France, I only went out to the garden to see if everything was ok there.

I found some inspiration and took some photographs...

The gallery made available is a collection of photographs taken in La Antigua Guatemala. This was the former capital of Guatemala. in the 18th century there were nice baroque churches and other buildings. Unfortunately the location of La Antigua was from a geographical perspective not optimal.

The slide show tells and visualizes what happened and how it looks today.

One photograph from last Saturday.

The photographs of last days were made at the Ecomus?e in Ungersheim Alsace, France. In this open-air museum there are various buildings and a mine with industrial buildings. The latter however currently is closed, it looks like a highly interesting left space.

In last Saturday's post I was somewhat disapointed about the catch of that day... I took some time to look at the thirty keepers and converted some of them to black and white.



Well, it is not too bad (I think). Here two more from an very old car with some problems with the paint.
