Jun 17, 2010An imaginary decisive moment... it took me some time to post this image. For me the image does transport a decisive moment there however is no motion, no person. What makes it possible to feel a decisive moment without those elements? ![]() One part can be found in the light... the light here is something like the saying that you can not step in the same river twice... On the other hand we're left alone with the question if there is someone out there in the light. Will the person show up in the image in a moment or did someone just disappear... you never will know what I saw. The decisive moment solely exist in our imagination, we see something what is not there: an imaginary decisive moment! 4 comments

Many ideas to think of, many ways to explain...
One thing I am sure of : I like this picture a lot because of its duality between presence and emptiness.. a hidden reality. Imagination, might be.... some call it Awareness...

I wonder sometimes what it really means that a person is present. Does only physical presence matter, or does for example the fact that you showed your picture to us, and us writing down our thoughts about it, mean that we are all present here? Here on this magnetic medium filled with ones and zero's. Or on your computerscreen. How is it possible that we are present here? But if it isn't us that is present here, then who or what is? I see a lot of presences in this photo, a lot of echoes of humans that passed through this scene earlier, the persons may not be there physically anymore, yet the do still seem to exist here for some time to come. For at least as long as this picture exists.
